What God Is Doing—And What’s Coming Next

Hello friends,
July was a little different for us. We had the opportunity to travel to Port Crane, New York, and speak at the Lily Lake Camp Meeting. Over the course of the week, we were given the opportunity to share five messages, along with several missionary minutes. While we may have gone hoping God would use us to encourage others, we came home encouraged ourselves.
An amazing thing about the week was seeing how God brought everything together: The songs the worship team chose, the main speaker’s sermons, and what God had given us to share seemed to keep weaving together. It was a reminder God was present and working in ways none of us could have arranged. We met wonderful people at Lily Lake, and we came home thankful for new friendships.
Now our attention turns back to Arizona and fall camps. September elementary camp will have the theme “Chill,” where we'll look at what the Bible teaches about keeping our cool when life gets difficult. October teen camp will focus on being “Wise” and what it means to make choices based on God's wisdom instead of simply following what the world tells us. We would appreciate your prayers as we prepare, and God begins bringing the right campers and volunteers together.
We also have something exciting happening in our family. We are expecting our first grandchild at the beginning of October! We are thrilled, although becoming grandparents still sounds a little strange to us. Please pray for the baby; our daughter-in-law, Amanda; and everyone involved with the delivery. We would appreciate prayers that everything will go smoothly and both mom and baby will be healthy.
Thank you for your prayers. We are grateful God has allowed us to be part of what He is doing—and thankful you choose to be essential partners in this ministry.
Doug & Becky
