Summer Adventure: Day 31
by Doug Darfus
Today was our first full day of 4th– 6thgrade camp at the Southwest Indian Ministry Center. It was great to see and catch up with previous campers who are now Leaders in Training, as well as to meet new children. It has also been a pleasure to work with many adults from Walnut Hill CCCU. They are a blessing!
Just to give you an idea of the fast pace, I thought I’d tell you what I did today besides catching up with past relationships and trying to build new ones. The day consisted of: Breakfast… group camp picture… worship & message … set up for tie dye activity… met with the field director… lunch… finished setting up for tie dye… help a fourth of the campers tie-dye t-shirts… help set up and prepare for dinner… serve drinks for dinner… eat dinner… clean the tables and sweep the floors after dinner… drive a 15-passenger van of campers to the swimming pool, swim, and drive back… have a snack and visit with campers… write this blog and go to bed. Luckily, it was only 110 degrees today or I might feel more tired. :-)
Thank you everyone for your continued prayers. Blessings!
