January 2022 Update

Dear friends,

Happy New Year!

Just wanted to give you a brief update on things that took place during the month of December.

During December, Doug, Josiah, and I traveled to Fullerton, California to volunteer at the Operation Christmas Child Processing Center. While I’ve volunteered before at the Charlotte, NC location, this was Doug and Josiah’s first time. It was a great opportunity to serve a wonderful organization, meet many nice people, and go to sleep each night knowing you worked hard for a great cause.

On December 18th, the first “Camp Chat Christmas Party” took place. Although our group was small, it was a fun time! We read the Christmas story from Luke 2, ate pizza and cookies, went to burn calories at Urban Air Trampoline Park, and enjoyed the unexpected surprises of a White Elephant Gift Exchange. We were so thankful for the young people that attended! (picture of doug teaching group – wider shot that includes Christmas tree)

As we begin a new year, we would love if you might pray for the following:

  • Please pray for the Operation Christmas Child Ministry Partner training on January 15th at Christ Fellowship Community Church in Hickiwan, Arizona.

  • Prayers are also needed for the two OCC Gospel Events that will follow the training. This is the time the children will hear the Gospel message and receive their shoebox gifts. Please pray that many children who might not normally attend church will come for these events.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. This ministry wouldn’t be possible without you!

If you would like to help us serve Native American children in the Southwest, we would appreciate it. We are in need of a few new monthly supporters.
