God is so good!
July was a busy month and we thank God for making it all possible.
The month began with our first teen weekend camp since January 2020. We were unsure as to what to expect, but were thrilled as the kids began to arrive. Thirty-three campers from around Arizona were in attendance, with four former campers coming to assist with camp. Overall, the weekend went really well. It was a bit disappointing when our Saturday night pool party was canceled due to a monsoon storm, but the kids were resilient. They turned around and had a great time eating pizza and snacks and playing crazy card games and ping pong instead.
After camp finished and clean up was complete, our family left Arizona and headed for Ohio. We spent 10 days in the Buckeye state while cherishing time with family, friends, and church family. What an encouragement! Those days were a huge inspiration. We thank God for such a wonderful team of supporters. You all are a blessing to our family!
After being home three days from Ohio, we headed northeast to Farmington, New Mexico to The Neighborhood House, a ministry of World Gospel Mission. WGM missionaries Chris Amberman and Krista Landaas had invited us to come and help train the teenagers that participate in their ministry to do a Mini-Camp program for the younger kids. It was wonderful to see their ministry in action and have the opportunity to do our first Mini-Camp.
We praise God for all He has done during the month of July. We ask for your prayers in the coming months.
As we look toward the fall, here are some areas in which we would appreciate your prayers.
Back in March we shared with you about the possibility of working with Samaritan’s Purse in the distribution of shoeboxes on the Tohono O’odham nation. In July we received word we were placed on the OCC District team for Southern Arizona! Our first training session will be August 30 and 31.
September 10-12 our Upper Elementary Camp will be held at Chapel Rock Camp and Conference Center in Prescott, Arizona. We would appreciate your prayers for all aspects of the weekend. This will be our first camp held somewhere other than the Ministry Center in Peoria. There are many details to be finalized!
October 8-10 is a Teen Weekend Camp held at Camp Pinerock, also in Prescott. Please pray for both weekends that God would make His presence known to these precious young people.
Thank you so much for partnering with us in this ministry!
We are so grateful for each and every person.
God bless you!
