Day 9
Sunday. The day of rest.
Our plans were to go to Steve & Debbie Cartwright’s church today, but our plans changed when we were awoke by Josiah in the middle of the night. There is no non-gross way to say it, the little guy had to barf. We think it was a combination of dehydration and new medicine. Anyway, he was very tired and still a bit queasy this morning so we watched our home church via live stream and did a devotional and prayer at home.
I spent some time after working on the Bible class I’m to teach while the boys did some ukulele and video game practice. Becky… she got the I-got-nothing-to-do other than laundry blues. By the afternoon, Josiah was better so we decided to drive to Lake Pleasant Regional Park to check out a possible spot for future water tubing. We drove for about 35 minutes and as we approached where the GPS was taking us, we saw nothing but desert. It was amazing to see this huge lake appear out of nowhere. Beautiful.
Psalm 8:9 (NLT)
9 O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!
We came home to the amazing aroma of roast beef that Becky had put into the crock pot. It melted in our mouth for dinner. During dinner, we had a couple of missionaries stop by and we had a lovely visit. Tomorrow we start working on camp again.
