Day 6

We’re here. I don’t know if I’ve warmed up to the place yet, but at 103, it’s starting to warm up to us.

Hello everyone and welcome back to Darfus Family Drama. After my successful pilot episode, we decided to keep going, and now I’m back with another day of driving. (Don’t worry, every season starts out slow, but we have to get there somehow.)

At 9:30 this morning, we left Colorado for the last time (until the way home anyway), and headed out for the Four Corners monument, which (supposedly) lies on the shared corner border of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona. (In reality, the monument is off by 1,807 feet, but nobody wants to tell the monument that). After getting pictures of us being in four states at the same time, we headed for SIMC, and 20ish rest stops, 9 hours and a time zone change later, we arrived.

Since then, we have gone for pizza and stocked up on supplies at Wal-Mart. Sorry, but even I can’t make that sound exciting. Oh well.

Tomorrow starts the fun with work scheduled to start at 9:00 am sharp. Great. I’m just glad I don’t have to worry about “disturbing guests” when I play my ukulele now.

Well, that’s all for today. As always, God bless, thanks for your support, and I’ll see you at the end of an ark ride.
