Day 11:

Philippians 2:1

Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate?

Today has continued to be an encouragement as we had fellowship with many people. Yesterday we came down to the Tohono O'Odham Reservation. This morning we awoke and went to breakfast at Mondos. I ate the most delicious breakfast burrito wrapped in fry bread that I have ever had. The man who ran the place loved Jesus and his ministry is running the restaurant with delicious food and telling everyone who comes in about Him.

We then traveled to Kitt Peak to see a site with something like 26 observatories. It was a beautiful view!

Our next adventure took us to a local festival at the community recreation center on the Tohono O'Odham Reservation. I tried some cactus which was very tasty, looked at crafts (mostly jewelry), watched a teen group do a dance, and looked at some graffiti art they were painting. It was nice to be an observer and a participant to watch this Native American community enjoying themselves.

The one thing about Arizona is that the high temperature drains all your energy. Following the festival we came back to the place we are staying and I took a long nap. In the evening we had other missionaries over for dinner, fellowship, and games.

Each conversation I have with either a Native believer or a local missionary has reinforced that I am where I am supposed to be at this moment in time. The fellowship has brought encouragement and comfort to me because these wonderful people do have tender hearts and compassion. I am looking forward to finding out what God has planned for my family and the direction He wishes to take us. Please pray that we listen and obey and follow His will.
